تجسّد هذه اللوحة صورة امرأة حضرمية بملامح مهيبة ترتدي قبعة تقليدية عريضة الحواف من القش، وتغطي وجهها بلثام أسود لا تظهر منه سوى عينيها الحادتين، في زي يعكس هوية نساء حضرموت التقليديات. ترتدي شخصية اللوحة عباءة حمراء داكنة مطرزة بخيوط ذهبية عند الصدر، وتمسك بيديها خنجرًا أو حلياً تقليدياً يرمز إلى المكانة والفخر. تمتد خلف الشخصية واجهات كثيفة من المباني الطينية متعددة الطوابق، وتتوسطها نخلة باسقة، بينما يحيط باللوحة إطار خشبي منحوت بزخارف هندسية متكررة يعكس فن النقش الحضرمي التقليدي. يمزج الفنان في هذا العمل بين الدقة الواقعية في تصوير الملامح والزي والخلفية المعمارية الرمزية، ليقدم صورة أيقونية تلخص هوية “مملكة حضرموت” وتراثها العريق.

This painting depicts a Hadhrami woman with a dignified presence, wearing a traditional wide-brimmed straw hat and covering her face with a black veil that reveals only her sharp eyes, in attire that reflects the traditional identity of Hadhramaut’s women. The figure wears a dark red robe embroidered with gold thread at the chest and holds a traditional curved dagger or ornament symbolizing status and pride. Behind the figure extends a dense array of multi-story mud-brick building facades, with a tall palm tree at their center, while the painting is bordered by a carved wooden frame with repeating geometric ornamentation reflecting traditional Hadhrami woodcarving art. In this work the artist blends realistic precision in depicting the features and attire with a symbolic architectural backdrop, presenting an iconic image that encapsulates the identity of the “Kingdom of Hadramout” and its ancient heritage.
