المتحف البريطاني في لندن هو أحد أكبر المتاحف العالمية ويضم مجموعات واسعة من حضارات الشرق الأدنى. ترتبط حضرموت به عبر رحلات باحثين بريطانيين في القرن 19 و20 الذين جمعوا نقوشًا وقطعًا أثرية وصورًا من المنطقة. توجد في المتحف اليوم نقوش جنوب عربية، أختام، قطع فخارية، ووثائق مبكرة من حضرموت. The British Museum in London is one of the world's largest museums and houses extensive collections from Near Eastern civilizations. Hadramout is connected to it through the travels of British researchers in the 19th and 20th centuries, who collected inscriptions, artifacts, and photographs from the region. Today, the museum holds South Arabian inscriptions, seals, pottery, and early documents from Hadramout.

The Walters Art Museum in Baltimore is one of the top encyclopedic museums in the U.S., showcasing art from ancient civilizations to the 19th century. Founded on the private collection of William and Henry Walters, it opened to the public in 1934. The museum is known for its rare manuscripts, sculptures, and global artifacts. Its significance to Hadramout comes from its important Yemeni and Hadrami pieces—especially manuscripts, jewelry, and archaeological objects—that help preserve and present Hadramout’s cultural heritage to an international audience. متحف والترز للفنون في بالتيمور يُعدّ من أبرز المتاحف الموسوعية في الولايات المتحدة، حيث يعرض فنونًا من الحضارات القديمة حتى القرن التاسع عشر. تأسس على أساس مجموعة ويليام وهنري والترز الخاصة، وافتُتح للجمهور عام 1934. يشتهر المتحف بالمخطوطات النادرة والتماثيل والتحف العالمية. تكتسب أهميته بالنسبة لحضرموت من القطع اليمنية والحضرمية الهامة التي يضمها—وخاصة المخطوطات والمجوهرات والأشياء الأثرية—والتي تساعد في الحفاظ على التراث الثقافي لحضرموت وعرضه للجمهور الدولي.

هذه مجموعة من الصور الفوتوغرافية المملوكه لياسر قنيوي، مؤلف كتاب الزخارف التقليدية في حضرموت. وتمثل هذه المجموعة المختارة بعناية من الزخارف التقليدية والفنون البصرية الهوية الثقافية الغنية للحضارم — سكان حضرموت. وتعرض قطعًا تراثية وتقاليد تمثل دليلاً ماديًا على قدرة الحضارم على الإبداع والابتكار والتعبير عن فهمهم للكون والحياة، وعن علاقتهم المتصورة بكل الكائنات الحية والأحداث من حولهم. This is a collection of photographs owned by Yaser Qaniwi, author of Traditional Motifs of Hadramout. This carefully curated selection of traditional motifs and visual arts represents the rich cultural identity of the Hadramis — the people of Hadramout. It features artifacts and traditions that provide physical evidence of the Hadramis' ability to create, innovate, and express their understanding of the universe, life, and their perceived connection to all living things and events.

A selection of works by Hadrami artists collected by Hadramout Archive and displayed as part of its project to preserve visual creativity in the region. This collection includes paintings, photographs and artistic designs that express the beauty, heritage and culture of Hadramout through the visions of its various artists.

بيتر هوسلي خبير سويسري في قطاع الضيافة الفاخرة، شغل مناصب قيادية وإدارية عليا في عدد من الدول، من بينها مصر والأردن والمملكة العربية السعودية. وإلى جانب مسيرته المهنية، يُعد جامع مقتنيات مستقلًا ومهتمًا بالتراث الثقافي، ويتمتع باهتمام طويل الأمد بتراث حضرموت والشرق الأوسط. وعلى مدى سنوات من السفر والاقتناء المدروس، حافظ على قطع نادرة تعكس الحِرف التقليدية، والحياة اليومية، والهوية الثقافية للمنطقة. وقد تكرّم بإتاحة جزء من مجموعته الحضرمية لأرشيف حضرموت الرقمي لدراستها وتوثيقها ومشاركتها مع جمهور عالمي أوسع. Peter Hoesli is a Swiss expert in the luxury hospitality sector, having held senior leadership and executive positions in several countries, including Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. Alongside his professional career, he is an independent collector and cultural enthusiast with a long-standing interest in the heritage of Hadramout and the Middle East. Over years of travel and careful collecting, he has preserved rare objects that reflect the region’s traditional craftsmanship, daily life, and cultural identity. He has generously made part of his Hadramout collection available to the Digital Archive of Hadramout for study, documentation, and sharing with a wider global audience.

Professor Hasso Hohmann's Collection

Dr. Hasso Hohmann was born on October 20, 1943, in Ettlingen near Karlsruhe in Germany. He was admitted to study architecture at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and the Graz University of Technology. He completed his architecture studies in Graz from 1965 to 1973 and, at the University of Graz, also pursued studies in ethnology (specializing in ancient American studies) from 1968 to 1973. Dr. Hohmann received his doctorate in engineering (Dr.-techn.) from the Graz University of Technology in 1978. Since 2000, he has lectured at the Graz University of Technology on Islamic and pre-Columbian architecture. Since 1965, Dr. Hasso Hohmann has undertaken numerous study trips throughout Europe, China, Thailand, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Iran, the Middle East, the Arabian Peninsula, North Africa, and North, Central, and South America, documenting historical buildings photographically and, in some cases, geodetically. He has authored numerous publications in German and English on topics related to architecture and ethnology. Since 1983, he has been co-editor of the ISG News of the International Urban Forum Graz (ISG), and since 1998, editor of the ISG Magazine. Between 1987 and 1998, he served on the Editorial Board of the Cuadernos de Arquitectura Mesoamericana (Journal of Mesoamerican Architecture). He has worked as an exhibition designer and curator and has organized and conducted international conferences.
