تصوّر هذه اللوحة رواقًا داخليًا لمسجد تقليدي، تتوالى فيه سلسلة من العقود المدببة المحمولة على أعمدة بيضاء نحيلة تمتد في عمق المشهد نحو أروقة أخرى في الخلفية. تكسو أرضية المسجد سجادة صلاة خضراء مخططة بالأبيض، بينما يتدلى مروحة سقف معدنية من العقد الأمامي. يجلس في مقدمة اللوحة رجل منفرد بوضعية التأمل أو القراءة، منكبًا على كتاب مفتوح أمامه، في مشهد يوحي بالسكينة والخشوع. يعتمد الفنان تدرجات اللونين الأبيض والبني الداكن لإبراز العمارة المقنطرة وعمقها، في تباين هادئ مع اخضرار السجاد، مما يمنح اللوحة أجواءً روحانية هادئة تعكس أجواء العبادة والتأمل داخل المساجد الحضرمية التقليدية.

This painting depicts the interior corridor of a traditional mosque, where a series of pointed arches carried on slender white columns recede into the depth of the scene toward other corridors in the background. The mosque floor is covered with a green prayer carpet striped in white, while a metal ceiling fan hangs from the front arch. In the foreground of the painting a solitary man sits in a pose of contemplation or reading, bent over an open book before him, in a scene evoking stillness and reverence. The artist relies on gradations of white and dark brown to bring out the vaulted architecture and its depth, in a quiet contrast with the green of the carpet, giving the painting a calm spiritual atmosphere that reflects the worship and contemplation found within traditional Hadhrami mosques.
