رسم ملوّن يجمع بين التلوين بالحبر والألوان المائية، يصور ملامح مميزة من طبيعة جزيرة سقطرى. في أعلى اللوحة تظهر شجرة دم الأخوين ذات المظلة المظلة، وإلى جانبها شجرة الورد الصحراوي ذات الزهور الوردية، ويظهر بينهما أشخاص صغار يلعبون أو يتسلقون بالقرب من دبابة قديمة، وطائر جارح في السماء. في المقدمة يقف رجل عاري الصدر يرتدي إزارًا تقليديًا ويحمل صدفة أو حجرًا بيده، ويحيط به ماء البحر الأزرق المليء بالأسماك والدلافين وقنفذ البحر. يجمع العمل بأسلوب ملوّن ثري بين رموز الطبيعة الفريدة لسقطرى وحياة سكانها المرتبطة بالبحر.

This vividly colored ink-and-watercolor drawing captures distinctive imagery from Socotra Island’s unique natural landscape. At the top of the composition stands a Dragon’s Blood Tree with its characteristic umbrella-shaped canopy, alongside a Desert Rose tree in pink bloom; small figures are shown playing or climbing near an old tank at its base, while a bird of prey soars overhead. In the foreground, a bare-chested man wears a traditional wrap and holds a shell or stone in his hand, standing waist-deep in blue ocean water teeming with fish, dolphins, and a sea urchin. Through its richly colored style, the work brings together symbols of Socotra’s singular natural environment with the sea-bound life of its people.
