تصوّر هذه اللوحة مشهدًا حيويًا من موسم حصاد التمر في واحة نخيل حضرمية، حيث تجلس امرأتان على الأرض في المقدمة، ترتدي إحداهما قبعة مخروطية تقليدية من القش وتضعان لثامًا أسود، منشغلتين بفرز حبات التمر ووضعها في سلال منسوجة من سعف النخيل. يقف خلفهما صبي حافي الصدر يحمل سلة كبيرة على كتفه، بينما يظهر في العمق رجل يُحمّل حمارًا بالأكياس استعدادًا لنقل المحصول. تحيط بالمشهد أشجار النخيل الباسقة وتلال صخرية جرداء تحت سماء زرقاء صافية، في تكوين واقعي دقيق يجمع بين مختلف مراحل عملية الحصاد من القطف إلى الفرز فإلى النقل. يستخدم الفنان الألوان الزيتية بأسلوب واقعي تفصيلي يبرز حرارة الضوء وملمس الأرض الرملية، موثقًا بذلك مشهدًا تراثيًا من الحياة الزراعية اليومية في وادي حضرموت.

This painting depicts a lively scene from the date harvest season in a Hadhrami palm grove, where two women sit on the ground in the foreground, one of them wearing a traditional conical straw hat, both with black veils, busy sorting dates and placing them in baskets woven from palm fronds. Behind them stands a bare-chested boy carrying a large basket on his shoulder, while further back a man is seen loading sacks onto a donkey in preparation for transporting the harvest. The scene is framed by tall palm trees and barren rocky hills beneath a clear blue sky, in a precisely realistic composition that brings together the different stages of the harvesting process, from picking to sorting to transport. The artist uses oil paints in a detailed realist style that captures the warmth of the light and the texture of the sandy ground, documenting a heritage scene from the daily agricultural life of the Hadhramaut valley.
