صدر هذا الطابع لِـ سلطنة الكثيري في سيئون خلال فترة الحكم البريطاني في محمية عدن، وهو جزء من إصدار النصر بتاريخ ٨ يونيو ١٩٤٦ الذي خُصِّص للاحتفال بانتصار قوات الحلفاء في الحرب العالمية الثانية.

يمثّل التصميم قصر السلطان الكثيري في سيئون، أحد أكبر القصور المبنية من الطين في حضرموت، مع برجه المميّز وأشجار النخيل عند المدخل. وتظهر في أعلى اليمين صورة حاكم سلطنة الكثيري في تلك الفترة. القيمة الأصلية للطابع هي ٢½ آنة باللون الأزرق الداكن، مع طباعة إضافية باللون الأحمر تحمل عبارة «VICTORY ISSUE – 8th JUNE 1946».

This stamp was issued for the Kathiri State of Seiyun under the British Aden Protectorate. It is part of the Victory Issue of 8 June 1946, created to commemorate the Allied victory in World War II.

The design shows the famous Sultan’s Palace in Seiyun (قصر الكثيري), one of the largest mud-brick palaces in Hadhramaut, with its distinctive tower and palm trees at the entrance. At the top right is the portrait of the Kathiri ruler of that period. The stamp’s original value was 2½ Annas, printed in deep blue, with the red overprint reading “VICTORY ISSUE – 8th JUNE 1946.”
