تصوّر هذه اللوحة حصن بن دول، وهو معلم دفاعي طيني تقليدي يتألف من برج دائري ضخم ومباني مستطيلة ملحقة به، تنتصب وسط فضاء صحراوي مفتوح تحت سماء زرقاء صافية تتخللها بعض الغيوم البيضاء. تظهر جدران الحصن بلونها الترابي الفاتح مع فتحات صغيرة متناثرة كانت تُستخدم للمراقبة والدفاع، بينما تحيط بالمبنى كثبان رملية ونباتات صحراوية متناثرة. تحتل مقدمة اللوحة سيارة نقل قديمة بلون أخضر باهت متوقفة على الأرض الرملية، في تفصيل يربط بين عراقة المعلم التاريخي وحاضر المنطقة المعاصر. يعتمد الفنان أسلوبًا واقعيًا هادئًا وألوانًا ترابية دافئة تتناغم مع اتساع الأفق الصحراوي، موثقًا بذلك أحد الحصون التراثية المميزة في منطقة حضرموت.

This painting depicts Hisn Bin Dawel, a traditional mud-brick defensive landmark made up of a massive round tower with attached rectangular buildings, standing amid an open desert expanse beneath a clear blue sky dotted with a few white clouds. The fortress walls appear in light earthy tones with small scattered openings once used for observation and defense, while sand dunes and sparse desert vegetation surround the structure. The foreground of the painting is occupied by an old, faded green pickup truck parked on the sandy ground, a detail linking the antiquity of the historic landmark to the region’s contemporary present. The artist adopts a calm realist style and warm earthy colors that harmonize with the vastness of the desert horizon, documenting one of the distinctive heritage fortresses of the Hadhramaut region.
